March 4th and many Houses

Great to see those that are not always able to come to the meeting
Hello everyone!
So many projects going on and always someone that can lend a hand.

Lorraine received quite a few 6" x 10" pieces of Christmas fabrics and some pieces that were larger.
So looking forward to seeing her next quilt.
Thank you everyone for helping Lorraine out - still time if you did not have a chance to donate to the cause.

Lorraine is also working on her houses and loves the flowers and how easy they were to apply.
The die cut did a fabulous job for everyone.

Vevia (me) and Machelle have been looking at Easter possibilities
Look at the tie dyed egg that can "hatch" and become a chicken.

Some of the ladies have their house quilts together and off to the quilter.
Juanita put a fence on hers

and Janet put on two blue borders

Show 'n Tell was fun
Little problem - my short memory.  If I had been able to do immediately - I would have remembered all of the info for each - but, I slept and went out of the state and ............... so forgive me if I forget some of the particulars

Lisa got these blocks from _____________, has done a great job putting them together and is thinking about offering them back to the family.

Cyndy is back for a visit and had several things to show us.  She found out that the American Girl doll is changing shape and you have to make sure which doll you are sewing for to get the pants to fit right.
She took a weaving class in Clay Center, wove some wool, felted it and now it is a great coaster - forgive her for the food stains. (ha ha)
She made the March / St Patty's day table runner, was not happy with the pink shamrocks, took them off and made green and gave that away.  She is trying to use the pink, but Cyndy thinks they will go off this one also.

She got the tote pattern with handles and such at a great price  -  they goofed when they did not remove it from the sale - thankfully she got several before they realized their error.  And - Wax canvas.  I missed whether Cyndy made herself or bought.

Think Cyndy said her mom started this trip around the world, but only just got it started.  Cyndy has finished it - even though she was not sure - fabric was kind of duh.  But when put together - Wow! factor.

Remember, you can click on pictures and have them blown up some.
Had to include the back as it uses up the left overs.

Deb has been making some very cute zipper bags.  Neat inside as well as out.

Deb also finished the above quilt.  The ladies helped out so that we all can see how it looks.  The border fabric is perfect.

From the Missouri Star Quilt show on 3 ways to do wonky stars, I did this doll quilt.

Susie showed us this updated version of our old applique mats.  This one is so much clearer that you can easily see where to lay your applique pieces (click to enlarge and see the picture under mat), hold them together with a little bit of pressing and then pull them off and place on your quilt and apply.

Lisa made this quilt with leftover Kansas Trouble fabric.

Used quite a bit of left over KT fabric on the back - and still has oodles.

Carol was really going to town with her houses.

Thank you everyone for sharing and for a wonderful
FRIENDSHIP
Day!
